I want to thank you for spending some time in our "home." I hope it will help you get to know us a little better, and I also pray it will encourage you to consider becoming a more active part of our family here at Colonial Heights Baptist Church. If you have ever attended with us you might have been a little overwhelmed with the size. We are indeed a large and growing church, just as the New Testament church was. Even those of us that are used to it feel growing pains from time to time, but our prayer is that God will continue to give us opportunity to reach more and more people and to grow and grow. Our desire to grow though is not a desire to become large and impersonal. We believe the church is to be a place of relationships, with God and with others. In a church our size getting involved in a Bible Fellowship Class is one of the most important things you can do. It will help you develop relationships and learn about some of the greatest opportunities you will have for ministry and involvement in our fellowship. I hope if you visit with us, or when you visit again, you will check out a Bible Fellowship class. We have a class for you and all of your family.
If you are still checking out this “church thing,” or even investigating the claims of Christ or what Christianity is all about, I hope you will give us an opportunity to be a part of that search. You can just slip in and watch, or go a step further and get involved in a Bible Fellowship Class, and of course, we invite you to call and perhaps we can set up an appointment to talk about any of this. We think knowing Christ is the best thing in the world, and being a part of His church is about the second best and we want people to know.
